+ about : inpotenza

Astrid Schwarz and Oliver Maklott organized the second edition of inpotenza which will be on stage from 1st to 10th of march 2003.

Mainly it’ll take place in the MICA as a headquarter and room for discussions, in the echoraum, the centre for Croatia in Vienna, the rhiz, fluc and WUK.

The inpotenza understands itself as a festival and forum for contemporary electronical music and visual media production. Inbetween these disciplines and their actors there should be a lively exchange.

These days during the festival will be used for musicians, music-experts, media-artists and media–experts to discuss on “new” media, music and ways of communication in the headquarter and they can develop suitable artistic strategies.

This exchange of knowledge and production will be published on the internet and in this way will be real and virtually open for everyone.

One big part of the event lies in the featuring of artists and experts from Croatia and Slowenia, such as Luka Princic (music), Ana Husman (film), Goran Manic (performance/painting), Ajda Srdic (dance).

Results of the work will be presented live and used as approaches to think ahead.
Next autumn the inpotenza will be carried on, in which outcoming of work in progress can be observed and this year’s results will also be presented and compared.

An important part of the musical line-up will be announced shortly, but among others one can surely look forward to acts as: Silicone Pumpgun, artbitch, schellander/pollak, Jeanne Frémaux, Handler/Hons/Bogner, 78+, schwarz&maklott, Grill and guests, and many more.

Highlight of this year’s inpotenza will be the the 10th of march in the WUK, Vienna. On this very last evening the works of the participating artists of the inpotenza will be presented and it will also be the first concert of Amon Tobin in Austria.
